1. What are the opening hours?

    All opening hours and food service times are in the contact section of the website.

  2. Are dogs allowed?

    Dogs are allowed, if well behaved and on a lead,  in the bar, the river terrace and benched outside areas only.

  3. Are children allowed?

    We are child friendly, children should not be left unattended, or they may be fed espresso & skittles and could be turned into pies. Our children’s menu is in the menu section of the website. We have a small number of highchairs.

  4. Do you accept cash payments?

    We accept cash and card payments, including contactless. We do not accept American Express. We do not accept cheque payment. All bills are settled on the day.

  5. Do we have to book a table to eat?

    We would always advise booking a table to eat. We have some capacity for walk ins, ( which varies daily ) depending on bookings.

  6. Can we come in for just drinks?

    Yes, a big fat yes. We have plenty of space for drinks on a first come first served basis.

  7. Can we buy beer from the brewery?

    The brewery shop is open Friday 11.30am-5.30pm, Saturday 12pm-4pm, you can view the brewery at www.nenevalleybrewery.com, and also order online.

  8. Do you have parking?

    We have a large carpark on site, please observe the 5mph limit.

  9. Do you do gift vouchers?

    We have vouchers that can be purchased at the restaurant, and via email info@tapandkitchen.com, they can be for any amount and are valid for one year from purchase date.

  10. Are you wheelchair friendly?

    The restaurant is accessible via a ramped entrance and has no steps on the lower restaurant and bar sections. The river terrace is also accessible via a ramp and we have an easy access toilet.


  11. Do you have baby changing facilities and space for pushchairs & prams?

    We have an easy access toilet with a baby change table, we have limited space at the tables for prams and pushchairs, we will always try to accomodate them based on bookings but we advise bringing the little ones in car seats where possible.

  12. Do you cater for people with allergies or dietary needs?

    We have a good varied daily changing menu and can cater for most allergies, prior notice is always helpful when booking. We also have vegetarian and vegan dishes. Team members on the day will assist. All of our Nene Valley Brewery beer is coeliac friendly as is the majority of our menu.

  13. Can we kayak or paddle board from the restaurant jetty?

    There is NO public river access to or from the restaurant.

  14. Do you take bookings through social media?

    We only take bookings via phone or email, via the contact details on this website.

  15. Can I bring in a birthday cake?

    We have a great range of puddings at the restaurant, which we would like you to enjoy, however if you want to bring in a cake, please be sure to tell us in advance. You can also pre order a birthday cake, baked and decorated by our chefs for £40. Please notify us two weeks in advance if you are interested.

  16. Can we smoke at the restaurant?

    Any area that food is served is deemed no smoking. We have a smoking shelter near the river terrace and yard. Smoking is permitted on the island, when open. Please use ash trays provided. Please be respectful of staff and guests in dining areas, and please do not smoke in the entrance.

  17. Can we book large tables?

    We cater for groups of 1 to 100, all groups of 10+ need to contact us via email. We may require a deposit and a pre order.
